Greg Bruorton
Author
Originally from Vermont, Greg spent his formative years in Alabama and later in Detroit, Michigan. Years later, in March 1980, he retired from the U.S. Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg (now Fort Liberty), North Carolina, as a senior non-commissioned officer.
Greg served in the Signal Corps and later in Military Intelligence as a non-commissioned officer in charge of communications sites. From 1976 to 1979, he served as the 82nd Airborne Division Commander’s Special Security Officer, frequently briefing the Division Commander, his two assistants, and the three Brigades’ leadership.
After fourteen years with the U.S. Postal Service, he retired again in Civil Service. Shortly after moving to Little Rock, Arkansas, in December 1997, he began other exciting and delightful sidelines: writing short stories and novels based on his experiences in life and teaching guitar. He played guitar and sang in country clubs, taverns, retirement homes, and church socials during his two careers and long afterward.
